2010/Oct/15:
TWITCH ANGRY, Merced, CA (USA) >>> turned out to be a Double Show. The 2nd concert was quickly scheduled at the
STAR CLUB the night before, also for Oct. 2nd around 11:45 pm - after the MONSTERFEST show.
During the days after the concerts the was some more working/writing/arranging & recording on 2 new songs (demos) for further business. ... STAY TUNED !

Syria >>> "A GIFT FROM CULTURE. Expanded & Re-Mastered" is scheduled for release on Dec. 17. 2010. It will be a double CD (37 tracks) with the original album remastered and selected songs from "Neverland Things" and "Voodoo Highway", demos, rough-mixes and some live-cuts from the "Neverland Things / A Gift From Culture - Tour 1996".

2009/April/10:
The new recording session for the 2004-2006 project "JUST ANOTHER DAY - IT'S JUST ANOTHER NIGHT" is launched.
23 songs plus "Ride" plus the never heared before "Hard Hard Times" from March '05 - and maybe plus some instrumentals and take outs.
The translation of the lyrics into german language is finished 99%,
who knows how long it takes ... and it's going to be a hell of a ride in every sense.

In between there's "regular" writing and business ... there won't be much daylight!

2007/July/17:

Hey, What's Up? Alrighty, here we go!

To keep a long story short - here they are, some facts:

- I'm working on a german translation of the lyrics of the project "JUST ANOTHER DAY - IT'S JUST ANOTHER NIGHT".
It will become somekind of a short story consisting of short stories of this MONSTER I created. As soon as it's finished I will see what I do with it, I already have some ideas in mind. It's too important to leave the lyrics only in the original english version.
- "... DIRT" from Sept. 2006 will be continued - besides ...
- I'm working on other material (songs, instrumentals etc. ...) - AND ...
- I am looking for a BASS PLAYER & a DRUMMER for a TRIO LIVE BAND with fiery inspiration and musical knowledge. You have to BURN ! - - - not neccesary around the area were I live ... at the moment ... .
- I'm also rehearsing on an Acoustic-Live-Set ...
- New media is comming soon, as soon as I receive a notification from the Copyright Service.

Hi There !

It's been a long time and a lot happened... too much to mention,
but what I like to mention at this time is:

There will be a live concert of GASOLINE Electric Band with some past band-mates for an up coming benefit-concert at our local Irish Pub.
All people involved in this event decided to get the money to the local animal-shelter,
so come on and check it out (if you live in this area :-).

GASOLINE will play a set of around 50 min. - with some old songs, new ones
(from the last major writing-session “Day/Night” 2004-2006)
and a few covers - fitting in the set (Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Rolling Stones).

Location: Klimperkasten Irish Pub (Frankenberg - Hessen/Germany)
Date: Saturday March 10, 2007
Start: 9 pm

There are 4 bands/artists on stage, we got the headliner-spot so it will be later in the evening when we hit the strings.
This might be a One-Of-A-Kind GASOLINE concert - we will see - and I go from there!

2006/December/24:

After working for more than 22 month on "JUST ANOTHER DAY - IT'S JUST ANOTHER NIGHT" - I realized that I have to give this material (and myself) a break from this working period.
It will come to the daylight some other time, not too far from now! See below (News from Dec. 23rd 2005) for running time of each song.

I started out with a new set of compositions on Sept. 15th. You read it on the very first page (and heared a bit of "DIRT" - SOUND).
It will be way different than "Day / Night" in the music and the lyric themes !

During all this time I rarely send out "stuff" to TAXI (see top of the page), recently I continued my membership, so I'm looking forward write other songs and instrumentals.

2006/September/10:

The DEMO SESSIONS for the new compositions are finished roughly - plus one more new official song: " R i d e " .
Titel of the brand new concept I've been working on the last month: "JUST ANOTHER DAY - IT'S JUST ANOTHER NIGHT".
An (almost) instrumental example of the first song "A Good Morning A Good Start" you can hear as backgroundmusic of the HOME page.

2005/December/23:

HI THERE! Yeah, it's been a while since the last major update (July 2005). So, thanks for your patience and coming back! I cleaned up the side since some things and links changed or are no longer relevant, more of this within the next days/weeks.
I've been writing NEW SONGS during the last months and right now I'm in the middle of rehearsing and arranging.
Out of 37 ideas for this project I finished 23 new compositions plus 4 songs I wrote previously, which became part of this concept (the name of this 2-part concept I will post as soon as it's cleared, as well as other details). Songtitles (mostly in no particular order):

2004/December/24:

"Welcome back my friends, to the show that never ends ..."

This is the new layout of the web-presence of GASOLINE-Music by Guitarist/Singer & Songwriter Matthias Weisheit - stripped to the basics, no fancy stuff.
The last month have been dramatic in some kind of way (more or less). Matthias split up the 6-piece electric band, death & funeral of a close relative and a very good friend and music lover ... that changed a few things in life ...

As announced before, Matthias is back on heavy songwriting - creating a concept in 2 pieces (which started out in the summer of 2004, each around 7 - 10 compositions) with a wide dynamic range (with new stringed instruments for the low register, new software for recording) ... it will be the main content for upcoming live gigs. This is #2 of currently 2 concepts. Details (what will happen with all that stuff...)/Title/working title will be posted as soon as the time is right, as well as sound examples. There is no hurry and no worry. The song RED LIGHTS might become a part of it.

Compositons besides the Gasoline background and instrumentals in different styles are in progress, as time allows.
There is also no more labeling of the music style of GASOLINE.

The Artist Development Camp of the Modern Music School

(Aug. 2. - 6. 2004 - Koblenz/Germany)

"I went to the camp this week, lots of workshops, bandcoaching, recording and instructores/guests (drums, guitar, vocals, bass, DJ's, music business -> for list/direct link click here or see below). I could go just for one day, check back for next year where I might stay longer and maybe do some clinics/workshops/instructions. There is a nice location in Koblenz and a great energic musical feeling - for aspiring musicians/bands:
check out events like this, to "see it, feel it, touch it, taste it".
There were also some guys from the Musicinas Institute, Hollywood (MI) and I had good time talking to them about past and present, especially Coreen Sheehan (vocal instructor). Besides other (original music) projects she is the lead-singer of L.A.'s ALL GIRL AC/DC TRIBUTE BAND - "WHOLE LOTTA ROSIES".
